Practice
2022 practices are held in Chestnut Hill. Dancers are asked to mask when close to others who are not part of their household.

Dancing usually happens on the tennis courts or behind the building, and we are at nature’s whim.
In past years, practice has been held at Bryn Mawr College. Rhodes Hall, the Old Library, Goodhart Hall, and English House have all been used.
Bryn Mawr May Day
The Renegades perform early Sunday morning as part of Bryn Mawr College’s May Day festivities. (The date is dictated by the academic calendar.) We are invited to breakfast in Erdman dining hall, perform in front of Pembroke Arch (or underneath it, if it’s raining), and then join the procession from Rockefeller Arch to Merion Green.
For GPS directions to a campus parking lot, use these addresses to visitor lots (but be aware that campus parking enforcement is generally lax on May Day):
- Campus Center parking lot address: 816 New Gulph Rd, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010
- Erdman Hall parking lot address: 204-298 Morris Ave, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010
Via SEPTA, take the Paoli/Thorndale Regional Rail (formerly known as the R5) to Bryn Mawr. Walk along Morris Avenue for one block; cross Montgomery Avenue at the traffic light. Take the next left, Yarrow Street. At the Y fork, you can turn right down North Merion Avenue (if you are bound for Pem Arch or Erdman) or bear left and go to Goodhart (which looks like a cathedral) or Rockefeller (which has a prominent archway).
May Day
On May 1st, the Renegades join other dancers and celebrants at Belmont Plateau in Fairmount Park. Arrival and kitting up begins around 5:45 AM. Parking is easily available and the groups of belled and be-ribboned folks are difficult to miss.
